Relocating a senior loved one can be overwhelming and complicated.

Working with a Senior Move Manager allows you to delegate all the work,

giving you the peace of mind that it will all get done in a timely matter

and without too much effort on your part.

All packages include the following:

Overall Move Plan: Map out and help with all parts of your move from the beginning to the end. This includes: downsizing guidance, space planning, packing/unpacking, home design and setting up your new home. In addition, you will be provided with a NASMM (National Association Senior Move Managers) list of preferred moving companies 

 

  • Downsizing guidance: Apply a system that makes the downsizing process easier.   In addition, you will be provided with a list of “essential items” to help think through everything you might need in your next home

 

  • Space Planning: This is where your new home floor plan and the furniture you desire to move is measured. A visual floor plan will be created for all furniture placement. Details will be discussed and modifications can be made

 

  • Packing and Unpacking Work: Licensed packers/movers will be overseen to keep things flowing. Life Simplified crew will handle durable items.  Furniture and delicate things will be left for the movers 

 

  • Home Design/Set-up: Hired movers are guided and supervised as they bring in the furniture and boxes. Unpacked boxes are immediately removed from the space. Your items are put away according to where they belong. Finally, the pictures are hung on the wall and your bed is made. With that, your home is ready to enter and enjoy! 

 

  • Initial Set-Ups and Trouble Shooting: Work orders are placed, if needed. These are directly related to hook-ups, for example; your internet, cable or phone services. We will work to make sure services are in process and that they will be connected in a timely manner. We will also facilitate needed repairs in the new residence. 

 

NOTE: When clients move in on a Friday they often must wait over the weekend for some or all of those services to be hooked-up. Moving earlier in the week helps with wait times.

 

Senior Move Package 1:

Often appropriate for moves to studio or one bedroom

Hours limited to: Supervisor & Crew 25 hrs

Senior Move Package 2:

Often appropriate for moves to 2 bedroom

Hours limited to: Supervisor & Crew  32 hrs

Senior Move Package 3:

Often appropriate for moves to 3 bedroom

Hours limited to: Supervisor & Crew 37 hrs

A la carte Menu of Services

Request a consultation for any of the following:

  • Develop an overall move or "age in place" plan​​

  • Downsize guidance and help with the organize/sort 

  • Customized floor plans (space planning for new home)

  • Retain, schedule and oversee movers

  • Supervise and oversee professional packing

  • Unpack and set-up new home

  • Arrange for the profitable or nonprofitable disposal of unwanted items through online platforms, online auction, estate/moving sale, buy-out, consignment, donation, or a combination of the above

  • Advisor for collectables and belongs you intend to sell

  • Arrange shipments and/or storage of belongs

  • Estate clearing (Can include arrangement for storage and shipments)

  • Services such as cleaning and waste removal, includes household hazardous waste
